VENUE OVERVIEW
The Huntington Bank Pavilion is a large outdoor amphitheater with a capacity exceeding 30,000, situated on the unique man-made peninsula of Northerly Island. Originally named Charter One Pavilion, the venue underwent an expansion in 2013, increasing its seating capacity from 8,000 to over 30,000. This expansion included repositioning the stage to face the lawn and enhancing the audio systems within the theater.
Opened in 2005, the Huntington Bank Pavilion is surrounded by stunning views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan.
POSITION SUMMARY
This role reports directly to the General Manager. The Concessions Operations Supervisor will oversee the comprehensive management of the concessions operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels by ordering and maintaining appropriate stock.
- Enter purchase orders and product receiving data into the tracking system.
- Oversee monthly inventory assessments.
- Ensure adherence to cash handling protocols at all times.
- Direct and manage scheduling for all hourly staff to ensure accurate payroll and management.
- Develop a warehousing strategy to facilitate easy access and accountability of merchandise.
- Maintain product and service quality standards through ongoing evaluations and addressing customer concerns.
- Recommend and uphold preventative maintenance programs to safeguard Legends' physical assets.
- Foster effective communication with clients and all employees.
- Assist in creating programs aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate data entry into POS systems and troubleshoot as necessary.
- Operate in compliance with established Legends' policies and procedures.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Qualifications
To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty at the highest level. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of four years of experience in food and beverage or retail management.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong multitasking capabilities.
- Ability to engage with all levels of management effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with scheduling preferred.
- Knowledge of retail POS operations, including relevant procedures and policies.
- Availability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
