Job Summary

The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Interventional Cardiologist to join our team at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular consultation services
  • Conduct standard diagnostic and cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, ECG, angioplasty, etc.
  • Provide clinical practice and teaching services to Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students
  • Participate in faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center
Requirements
  • Board certification in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology
  • Experience in peripheral vascular intervention is preferred
  • Structural heart disease intervention and/or venous intervention training desirable
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or non-citizen with a valid work permit
  • Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
