Compensation: $55 - $59/hour. Employee benefits encompass health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave, contingent on work location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and evaluate an integrated and automated cell culture process platform along with related process strategies, leveraging sensing technology, data analytics, and automation.
- Conduct independent research activities utilizing the aforementioned platform to enhance cell culture process performance, optimize workflows, and deepen scientific insights into cell culture production systems.
- Analyze relevant scientific, technological, and regulatory literature to further the proposed platform and its implications for our biologics pipeline.
- Oversee the industrialization and technology transfer of the automated cell culture process platform and its associated strategies.
- Accountable for planning, executing, documenting, and interpreting experimental work and results, ensuring thorough supervision and documentation.
- Produce high-quality scientific and operational documentation and deliver impactful scientific presentations.
Key Requirements and Technical Expertise:
- Essential Skills: mammalian cell cultures, bioreactor operations, upstream processing.
- Master's degree (2-4 years) or PhD degree (0-2 years) in Biotechnology, (Bio)Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge, coursework, and/or practical experience in mammalian cell culture process development, including cell biology, biochemistry, cell culture engineering, recombinant protein production, and bioreactor engineering.
- Strong motivation, curiosity, attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, showcasing strong project management and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Familiarity with Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and its applications, including process monitoring, control, and supervision, as well as in-line/on-line sensing technologies.
- Experience in process data analytics, including multivariate analysis, time series, and signal processing through statistical or machine learning methods.
