Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machine Programmer to join our team at HR Direct Services. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for setting up and operating large CNC Bridge Mills, designing and editing CNC programs, and ensuring the highest quality of machined parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and operate CNC Major Mill/Bridge Mill
  • Organize parts to process
  • Clean machined parts - deburring
  • Reads/interprets machining drawings, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters for production parts
  • Setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs
  • Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates
  • Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced to meet tolerance requirements
  • Writing and maintaining inspection and programming logs and manuals
  • Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements
  • Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling
  • Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets
  • Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment
  • Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department
  • Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
  • Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management
Requirements
  • 2-5 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and machining experience
  • 2-5 years' experience and/or training as a CNC Programmer programming with 2D/3D CAM/CAD software in a shop environment for multi-axis machining 2D & 3D projects
  • Experience with SolidWorks software, CAMWorks machining software, or similar software
Working Conditions

The employee may be exposed to fumes, vapors, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 per hour
