Position Summary:
Xanitos is currently seeking dedicated Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers for the second shift. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various locations within a healthcare setting. Responsibilities may vary based on specific client needs and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Clean and organize rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
- Perform floor maintenance through sweeping and vacuuming.
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
- Wash walls, ceilings, windows, and door panels.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas.
- Replenish supplies in restrooms.
- Assist in transporting small equipment or tools between departments.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption is granted. Experience in janitorial services is preferred, with a focus on medical cleaning.
- Successful completion of medical, background screening, and drug testing is required.
- FLU vaccine is mandatory.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs is necessary. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and may work near moving mechanical parts. The typical noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
