Stripping Laborer

Wells Concrete is seeking a skilled Laborer - Stripping to join our team. As a Laborer - Stripping, you will be responsible for stripping panels, ensuring all nails are removed from mold material, and dulling edges of concrete using a hand stone.

• Strip Panels: Remove rails, bullheads, and kickers prior to stripping panel.
• Ensure Nail Removal: Verify that all nails are removed from mold material.
• Dull Edges: Use a hand stone to dull edges of concrete after stripping panels.
• Rigging Inspection: Inspect all rigging prior to use and assist with clean-up of production area after stripping process is completed.
• Panel Preparation: Assist with preparing panels for final finishing in the yard.
• Special Projects: Assist with special projects as directed by supervision.
• Task Completion: Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor in the safest and most efficient means possible.

• Education: High School education required.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills required (both oral and written).
• Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment.
• Direction Following: Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Lifting Ability: Ability to lift and carry 50LBS for extended periods.

• Indoor and Outdoor Work: Perform work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Adverse Weather: Exposed to adverse weather conditions.
• Suspended Loads: Exposed to suspended loads and overhead obstructions.
• Machine Noise: Exposed to machine noise associated with cranes and heavy equipment.
• Dust Exposure: Exposed to dust associated with woodworking, concrete products, and concrete repair.
