Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Denver Health Medical Center, in collaboration with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, is seeking a qualified physician to join our dedicated team.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care and supervising residents and medical students across both inpatient and outpatient services in obstetrics and gynecology. This role includes participation in night and weekend on-call duties.
QualificationsApplicants must be eligible for or possess ABOG certification and will hold an academic appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine at one of the following levels: Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
Candidates should have an active Colorado medical license or be eligible to obtain one, along with the necessary privileges at Denver Health Medical Center.
Patient Care and ServicesDenver Health serves a diverse patient population exceeding 210,000 individuals, with the OB-GYN Department catering to patients who speak over 23 languages, predominantly Spanish. Our department operates an integrated service model, conducting approximately 50,000 prenatal visits annually across 11 clinic locations.
These visits are managed by a collaborative team of OB-GYN physicians, Certified Nurse-Midwives, reproductive health Nurse Practitioners, Family Medicine Physicians, and Advanced Practice Providers, ensuring tailored care for each patient.
Our high-risk obstetrical service receives referrals from external clinics, handling around 3,400 deliveries each year, representing about one-third of the deliveries for Denver residents. The Gynecology Service accommodates 18,000 visits and performs approximately 1,100 surgeries annually.
Comprehensive ServicesDenver Health offers a wide range of reproductive healthcare services, including robotic surgery and multidisciplinary teams that encompass gynecologic oncology and gender affirmation services within our LGBTQ+ Center of Excellence.
As a primary teaching site for the University of Colorado School of Medicine, our department provides clinical training for OB-GYN residents, as well as family medicine residents, emergency medicine residents, medical students, nurse-midwife students, psychology interns, and nurse practitioner students.
