Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating complex medical imaging equipment and performing diagnostic procedures to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including CT scanners, MRI machines, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as CT scans, MRI scans, and mammography, to produce high-quality images for radiologists to interpret.
  • Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information and ensure exam accuracy.
  • Provide patient safety and protection, adhering to regulatory agencies' guidelines.
  • Position patients and select proper scanning factors to attain accurate images.
  • Post-process images, accurately identifying and labeling them with patient information.
  • Maintain accurate records and enter patient information into the radiology information system.
  • Identify equipment performance issues and perform quality assurance tests and calibration procedures.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, and pushing/pulling. You must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. You may be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids.
