We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Support Specialist to join our team at Land O'Lakes, Inc. in Websterville, VT. Key Responsibilities- Perform one or more packaging functions, such as boxing, running filling lines, and cranking.
- Operate high-tech manufacturing processing and packaging equipment, including baggers, palletizers, and cookers.
- Follow manufacturer's specifications and directions to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, adhering to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production operators and supervisors to communicate work order progress and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- 18 years or older
- 6+ months of work experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills
- 1+ years of continuous prior experience in any industry
- Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision
- Able to trouble shoot mechanical problems
- Communicates work order progress to supervisor and production operators
- Customer-focused and able to work in a collaborative team
- Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule
- Knowledge of various pieces of high-tech manufacturing processing and packaging equipment
- Ability to follow manufacturer's specifications and directions
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Work in cold and/or hot temperatures throughout the day
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensures a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks
Working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, you will be walking, standing, and engaging in movement throughout the day. You may be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. and perform a variety of physical activities, including bending, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above shoulders and head, standing, working in enclosed areas, climbing stairs or ladders, and operating heavy machinery.
You may be required to wear personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protective footwear, and protective clothing or uniforms. Work may be performed in cold and/or hot temperatures, and the environment can be dusty.
The ability to perform these requirements is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
