Auto Litigation Claims Specialist II Job Description

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is seeking an experienced Auto Litigation Claims Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our claims handling team, you will be responsible for handling single and multi-party personal or commercial line claims of low to moderate exposure and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under moderate direction, handle claims within specific limits of authority.
  • Follow established protocols to ensure efficient and effective claims handling.
  • Deliver customer-centric claims service.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance.
  • OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree, and 3 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance.
  • OR Completion of the Zurich Claims Training Program and 3 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance.
  • OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance.
  • Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s).
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years' experience in Commercial Auto litigated claims.
  • Experience handling bodily injury and litigated claims.
  • Experience with uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Experience collaborating in a team environment and building cross-functional working relationships.
  • Proficiency in identifying and explaining complex financial and/or actuarial concepts.
  • Ability to determine the scope and exposure for moderately complex claims.
  • Understanding of the reserving process for indemnity and expense in analyzing the potential exposure of moderately complex claims.
  • Ability to develop and execute a negotiation strategy and plan for resolution.
  • Skill in identifying subtleties in customer/client and/or business partner interactions.
