Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair of buildings, including carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, and other minor repairs.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise, train, and direct maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Work Order Management: Plan, monitor, and appraise job results, and complete reports and work orders as required.
- Inventory and Acquisitions: Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and acquire new materials and equipment as needed.
- Disaster Preparedness: Develop and implement disaster preparedness plans and manage crises as they arise.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and employee performance.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance, or handy work.
- Skills: Strong maintenance and repair skills, computer literacy, effective written and verbal communication skills, and strong customer service skills.
- Certifications: Valid Florida driver's license and Certified Pool Operator License preferred.
The Maintenance Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, often in a standing position, and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. The ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and humidity, is essential.
