Job Summary

As an Automated Logistical Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise and perform specific functions in order to maintain equipment records and parts. This includes establishing and maintaining records, maintaining stock locator systems, and administering document control procedures. You will also be responsible for processing requests and turn-in documents, performing prescribed load-list and shop-stock list duties, and operating material-handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient stock control and accounting procedures
• Coordinate the movement, storage, and maintenance of ammunition and other supplies
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of performance, cost, and parts data through improved maintenance management

Requirements

• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and operate material-handling equipment

What You'll Learn

Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career as a stock control clerk, parts clerk, or storekeeper in various industries. You will learn how to handle and store stock, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records. You will also gain experience in operating material-handling equipment and performing prescribed load-list and shop-stock list duties.

Earn While You Learn

Get paid to learn and gain valuable job skills while serving in the Army National Guard. You will receive training in Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, where you will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this role.

Automated Logistical Specialist job training requires 10 weeks of Basic Training and 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.
