Department Overview:

We are seeking a Lead Technical Intelligence Analyst to be part of the Cross-cutting Urgent Innovation Cell (CUIC). This unique organization at MITRE is characterized by:

We are in search of skilled problem solvers who are passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to create innovative solutions for defense, intelligence, and civilian sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

The Lead Technical Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Relationship Management: Act as the primary liaison for multiple core government sponsors, fostering strong integration between the team and the sponsor's mission.
  • Team Leadership: Provide daily guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance to a team of analysts.
  • Project Strategy and Management: Develop and oversee goals, timelines, budgets, staffing, and use cases within your area of responsibility.
  • Development Team Coordination: Collaborate with the software development team to automate analyst workflows and integrate new tools.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams of 5 or more, including mentoring and guiding teams to successful outcomes.
  • Experience in a creative environment that utilizes cross-functional teams, including analysts, technical developers, and data specialists.
  • At least 5 years of experience in open-source research and data analysis, particularly in supply chains and/or emerging technologies.
  • Knowledge of East Asia regional studies and/or great power competition.
  • Experience managing relationships with government stakeholders and defining requirements.
  • Experience within the Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Mission experience related to China.
  • Proficiency in Chinese Cantonese, Chinese Standard, or Mandarin.
  • Experience analyzing and integrating commercial or non-traditional data.

Clearance Requirements:

This position requires the candidate to possess a minimum of the following clearance(s): Top Secret/SCI.
