Job Summary

We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Baton Rouge office. As part of the Water Resources Group, the successful candidate will support the development of surface water hydraulic, hydrologic, and hydrodynamic modeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform 1D and 2D riverine hydraulic modeling
  • Perform numerical modeling in support of stormwater and drainage improvements projects
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates, in support of final bid packages
  • Participate in design activities and meetings between project team members, subcontractors, and client managers
  • Prepare written and graphic reports and make presentations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; required
  • 2 to 4 years of experience; required
  • EIT certification in progress, preferred
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with team members and project managers
  • Working knowledge of software programs and techniques, including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM/XPSWMM/PCSWMM, Inforworks ICM, ESRI GIS, AutoCADD, Civil3D, and Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements

Sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
