Role Purpose:
The Hospitalist Staff Advanced Practice Provider (APP) serves as a vital member of the care delivery team, responsible for setting and maintaining care standards. This role involves managing patient care activities through collaboration with physicians, ensuring a high level of care through independent judgment and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate patient care.
- Understand the principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
- Ability to assess and interpret patient data to meet age-specific needs.
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures for patient care.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to foster positive relationships with healthcare teams and patients.
- Effectively navigate a complex healthcare environment.

- Demonstrate good clinical judgment and mobility for patient care tasks.
This position requires successful attainment and maintenance of necessary hospital privileges.
Licensure and Certification:
For PA:
- Graduation from an accredited physician assistant program is required.
- Preferred candidates will have a BS or MS degree.
- Experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
- Current state PA license and NCCPA certification are mandatory.
- Current CPR certification is essential.
- Act 34 Clearance is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is necessary.
For CRNP: ACNP
- Completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program is required.
- Preferred candidates will have a BSN or MSN degree.
- Professional nursing experience is preferred.
- Current state RN license and CRNP certification are required.
- National certification and eligibility for licensure by the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing are necessary.
- Current CPR certification is essential.
- Act 34 Clearance is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is necessary.
