Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control plant operations to meet product specifications and production requirements.
  • Adjust plant control variables and manage process equipment parameters to maintain efficient operation.
  • Develop knowledge of steam methane reformers and related equipment to ensure proper operations and equipment functioning.
  • Troubleshoot process upsets and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Interpret Piping & Instrument Drawings to understand process operations and equipment.
  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance of analytical test equipment and maintain records.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by following company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the maintenance and updating of plant equipment and work instructions.
  • Prepare and maintain production records, logs, and inspection forms.
  • Apply the Work Permit process, Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), and energy isolation procedures as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in an industrial plant in operations or maintenance is preferred.
  • Military service may substitute for industrial plant experience.
  • Basic math skills, including algebra, fractions, percentages, and unit conversion.
  • General personal computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software utilized by the company.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to support team philosophy and strategy.
  • Understanding of electrical hazards and safety.
  • Ability to physically perform duties, including bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting/carrying loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and work effectively on platforms up to 150 feet above grade.
  • Capable of operating a forklift and/or man-lift according to company policy.
