Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Electrical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our electrical maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our high voltage electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on high voltage electrical systems, including distribution systems, transformers, and switchgear.
    • Inspect and test electrical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair
    • Analyze and troubleshoot electrical system issues to identify the root cause of the problem.
    • Perform repairs and replacements as needed to ensure the electrical system is functioning properly.
  • Electrical System Testing
    • Perform routine testing of electrical systems to ensure they are functioning within safe parameters.
    • Test and calibrate electrical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of electrical system maintenance, repairs, and testing.
    • Prepare and submit reports on electrical system performance and any issues that arise.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Technical school or apprenticeship training in electrical maintenance preferred.
  • Experience
    • 8 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with a focus on high voltage systems.
    • Experience with electrical test equipment and calibration procedures.
  • Qualifications
    • Journeyman electrician license required.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, including NEC.
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master Electrician License
    • Preferred for advanced electrical system maintenance and repair.
  • Specialized Training
    • NFPA-70E training preferred for electrical safety procedures.
    • OSHA 10 training preferred for workplace safety.
Work Environment

Amentum is a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that requires our employees to be flexible and adaptable. As a High Voltage Electrical Specialist, you will be working in a variety of settings, including industrial and commercial environments. You will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces, and will be expected to lift up to 50 pounds. You will also be required to work in a fast-paced environment and to be able to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively.
