Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Partner to join our team at the College of DuPage. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the College's mission by providing expert guidance and support to management and employees on human resource-related issues and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage partnerships across the College to deliver value-added service to management and employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations and investigations, performance management, job description development, policy interpretation and implementation, recruitment/employment processes, and employment law compliance.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation, and assist in the development and implementation of Human Resources personnel policies and procedures.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of complex employee relations issues.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to department management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Requirements
  • BA or BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' human resources experience required.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, compensation practices, organizational development, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills required.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality required.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively influence at all levels required.
