Key Responsibilities- Provide age-appropriate history and physical examinations for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
- Implement interventions to support patients to regain or maintain physiologic stability.
- Monitor the effectiveness of interventions through appropriate follow-up of patients.
- Perform various procedures as required, including administering injections, performing and/or assisting minor surgical procedures, obtaining PAP smears, and other cultures as indicated.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
- Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision-making by providing educational tools.
- Registered Nurse in the State of CT, with Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Prefer Two years' experience in ambulatory care setting.
- Board Certification as an APRN.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area.
- Current CNOR/CRNFA (if applicable) certification.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS); CPR certified.
