Palliative Medicine Physician Job Overview

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Specialist to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. As a member of our hospital consult service, you will be responsible for managing the physical and emotional symptoms of patients with serious illnesses or diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertly manage complex cases involving multiple comorbidities and disease-directed treatments.
  • Facilitate advance care planning discussions and collaborate closely with each patient's primary care team.
  • Participate in palliative care education and quality improvement initiatives throughout the health system.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school (Allopathic/Osteopathic).
  • Completion of an accredited residency program and fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Hospice and Palliative physician is desirable.

About Us:

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is a not-for-profit healthcare system providing comprehensive services through Lancaster General Hospital, Women & Babies Hospital, and the Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital.

Estimated Salary Range: $250,000 - $300,000 per year.
This figure takes into account industry standards, regional cost of living, and similar positions within the area.
