Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Company Overview: Petroleum Marketing Group is a leading distributor and jobber of petroleum products and services in the Atlantic region of the United States.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to lead our store's day-to-day operations and support the General Manager in achieving business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Store Operations: In the absence of the General Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the store's day-to-day operations, including managing cash and lottery processes.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers, resolve customer concerns efficiently, and execute the PMG training plan for all Customer Service Associates.
  • Team Management: Supervise and direct the store team, including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Business Analysis: Monitor and analyze business processes and results to profitably achieve store goals.
  • Support General Manager: Provide support and assistance to the General Manager in other tasks and assignments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing and directing others in a retail or petroleum industry setting.
  • Availability: Flexible availability based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation is required.
  • Skills: Exemplary customer service, ability to work with little to no supervision, defuse issues, and settle customer and associate matters. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
