Job Title:
Senior Java Solutions Architect

Location: Dallas, TX (onsite from day 1)

Overview of Responsibilities : You will play a pivotal role in developing technologies that facilitate seamless communication and information exchange among users. Your work will take place in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that encourages collaboration across various teams and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional enterprise stakeholders to architect and implement solutions in a Hybrid environment (AWS, Google, and On-Prem infrastructure)
  • Assess, recommend, and deploy auto-scaling compatible cloud architectures
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to establish an automated CI/CD pipeline
  • Design systems and applications to address complex business requirements and produce relevant technical documentation to support project execution and maintenance plans
  • Create and develop API specifications utilizing OpenAPI Specifications that are scalable and enhance data security.
Oversee the complete management of APIs throughout their lifecycle.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and collaborate with various application teams to comprehend their business requirements for API implementation
  • Ensure that API documentation is created and kept current
  • Guarantee code and design quality with appropriate logging, monitoring, tracing, and security measures
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the API platform, accessibility, and deployments
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop solutions to prevent recurrence
  • Engage in and contribute to the refinement of technical user stories impacting integration

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in an Agile environment: Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Strong understanding of security protocols (e.g., OAuth, SAML)
  • Knowledge of Governance, Event-Driven Architecture, message-based architectures, and caching strategies and frameworks.
Demonstrate proficiency with container management and orchestration tools, infrastructure-as-code, modern build tools, and cloud integration systems.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience as a full-stack software developer in both traditional and cloud-native organizations
  • More than 6 years of experience in building API architecture/management for REST APIs, Microservices, SOAP, etc.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and managing Microservices in AWS or other cloud platforms and container technologies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing serverless applications using AWS technologies.
  • Familiarity with best coding practices to comply with OWASP Security standards
  • Proven experience with CI/CD processes and technologies
  • Experience in threat modeling, risk assessment techniques, and code reviews.
  • Knowledge of document storage solutions such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, etc.
  • Proficiency in using SDLC tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, or other Git-based source control systems.
