Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer I to join our innovative team at Westinghouse Electric Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing thermal-hydraulic and piping networks engineering design and analysis for mega-projects or advanced reactors.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform thermal-hydraulic and piping networks engineering design and analysis for mega-projects or advanced reactors.
- Develop pump, valve, heat exchanger, HVAC, or other equipment sizing requirements for plant design or modifications.
- Identify problems and propose solutions to projects and tasks that are assigned.
- Support more senior engineering personnel in various design and analysis efforts.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear preferred)- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Familiarity with the nuclear power plant designs for operating PWR and BWRs or advanced reactors or AP1000.
- Experience with MathCad, MATLAB, or VBA
- Familiarity with testing and testing analysis
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software Suite
- Ability to travel as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills (working towards a deadline while balancing multiple tasks).
- Able to resolve complex problems.
- Detail oriented.
- Highly Motivated with a desire to learn and continually develop.
