We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Augusta Health. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration of patients into our health information system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately identify patients and gather demographic, insurance, and visit-related information
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and collect upfront payment

  • Work effectively with patients, family members, insurers, hospital departments, providers, and other team members
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of previous experience in customer service and general clerical office or administrative duties
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, telephone etiquette, and computer keyboard/typing skills
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, healthcare practice, or health insurance company
  • Medical Terminology knowledge
  • CHAA certification with National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM)
