Job Summary

The Director of Production is a key leadership role at United Contractors Roofing, responsible for overseeing and managing the entire production process. This involves ensuring that roofing projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Team Management: The Director of Production will lead, mentor, and develop the production team, including Assistant Production Managers, Crew Supervisors, and on-the-job staff. They will foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging collaboration and communication across departments.
  2. Production Planning & Coordination: The Director of Production will develop and implement strategic production plans to meet company growth targets and improve operational efficiency. They will coordinate with sales, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely project execution.
  3. Project Oversight & Quality Control: The Director of Production will ensure all roofing projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. They will conduct regular site visits to assess project progress, address challenges, and ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.
  4. Budget Management & Cost Control: The Director of Production will oversee the production budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and operational efficiency. They will analyze production costs and identify opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
  5. Process Improvement & Innovation: The Director of Production will identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategies to enhance production processes. They will stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation in roofing production.

Requirements:

  • • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
    • At least 7-10 years of experience in construction production, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the roofing or construction industry
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in project management software and production planning tools
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and location.
