About the Role

Hawaiian Airlines is seeking a highly skilled Aircrew Instructor, Flight Training to join our team. As a key member of our flight training department, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and facilitating various pilot and ground training courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional support and facilitation for ground training courses for pilots, ensuring a high level of training quality and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain lesson plans, instructor guides, and curriculum for classroom, home-based, and computer-based training, aligning with industry standards and best practices.
  • Administer computer-based training to ensure the training is adequate for the type training for which it is used, and maintain accurate records of training completion and progress.
  • Perform administrative duties, including developing, administering, and grading exams, producing accurate and complete rosters and training records, and coordinating with other company trainers on standardized information.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of training programs and services, and participate in professional development activities to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in aviation, preferably in a part 121 environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to maintain a disciplined attitude toward the highest training standards and company requirements.
  • Proven public speaking ability and effectiveness in conducting classroom instruction, with a focus on adult learning principles.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of training delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint, with knowledge of and comfort with computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree in a relevant field, such as education or aviation.
  • Experience in curriculum design for adult learning, with a focus on creating engaging and effective training programs.
  • Knowledge of Boeing 717, 787, Airbus A330, A321 aircraft systems and operations, with a type rating preferred.
  • ETOPS and international operations experience, with a focus on developing and delivering training programs for these types of operations.
