About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Operating Room Specialist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest. As a key member of our Surgical Services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients prior to surgery and establish clear communication with them regarding the procedure and any necessary preparations.
- Apply aseptic technique to maintain a sterile field and assist in procedures or prepping patients for surgery.
- Demonstrate knowledge of which areas require preparation for different types of procedures.
- Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience.
- Provide exceptional patient care and promote a positive image of nursing within our organization.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating room setting.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- CNOR certification is preferred.
