At Surgery Partners, we are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team. As a Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technician will be responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures, positioning patients, and operating radiologic machines to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with our medical team to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
  • Position patients correctly and shield them appropriately to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations by explaining the procedure and removing any articles that may interfere with the x-ray.
  • Operate radiologic machines to produce high-quality images of various body parts.
  • Develop, make copies, and fix x-ray films for diagnostic purposes.
  • Assist in fluoroscopic work and maintain equipment and quarters.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the Florida State Department of Health Services.
  • Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods, under an accredited medical radiologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of modern radiologic equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Work Environment:

The Radiology Technician will work in a fast-paced, climate-controlled office environment with occasional evening and/or weekend work. You will be required to be on your feet for long periods, lift or turn disabled patients, and use computer equipment.
