Job Summary:The Radiology Technician will be responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures, positioning patients, and operating radiologic machines to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with our medical team to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
- Position patients correctly and shield them appropriately to minimize radiation exposure.
- Prepare patients for radiologic examinations by explaining the procedure and removing any articles that may interfere with the x-ray.
- Operate radiologic machines to produce high-quality images of various body parts.
- Develop, make copies, and fix x-ray films for diagnostic purposes.
- Assist in fluoroscopic work and maintain equipment and quarters.
- Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the Florida State Department of Health Services.
- Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods, under an accredited medical radiologist.
- Knowledge of modern radiologic equipment and techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
The Radiology Technician will work in a fast-paced, climate-controlled office environment with occasional evening and/or weekend work. You will be required to be on your feet for long periods, lift or turn disabled patients, and use computer equipment.
