Position Overview: The Phlebotomy Adjunct Instructor will operate under general supervision to design and implement lesson plans for accredited technical and occupational courses. This role involves the development of program curriculum, including syllabi, objectives, and evaluation methods to assess student progress effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials for courses such as Venipuncture and Clinical Practice.
  • Ensure compliance with program certification and accreditation standards.
  • Manage supply and equipment requests, along with budget preparation.
  • Document and report on all required administrative tasks and student evaluations.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends.
  • Engage with students, faculty, and staff to enhance the educational experience and address any instructional concerns.
  • Contribute to recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.

Qualifications Required:

  • Possession of a Phlebotomy Certificate with current certification or a diploma/degree in a related health science field such as Nursing, Medical Assisting, or Medical Laboratory Technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as MLT (ASCP), MT, or MLS (ASCP).
  • Experience in teaching at the postsecondary level.
  • Significant practical experience in the field of phlebotomy.

Compensation: Salary will be determined based on qualifications; no benefits are provided.
