ProMedica Health System is seeking a part-time Resident Caregiver to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Resident Caregiver will assist residents in all aspects of their daily life, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Manage resident behavior and provide socialization opportunities
  • Participate in activities and events to promote resident engagement and well-being
  • Provide information and support to residents and their families
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly, with previous dementia experience preferred
  • Certification required according to state regulations, and successful completion of required training
Physical Demands:

The Resident Caregiver must be able to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis.
