US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner - Oncology to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our oncology services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient health status, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including referrals, consultations, and follow-up appointments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to the development of policies and procedures, and engage in ongoing education and professional development.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, ensuring timely and effective communication with healthcare teams.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, with a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.
- Current RN state license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ongoing education requirements.
- Minimum 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least one year in oncology preferred.
- Oncology certification and specialized knowledge in hematology/oncology.
