This role provides direct clinical patient care to patients with cancer diagnoses. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis. The role is responsible for supervising staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated and for supporting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Certification in oncology nursing (ONC) or willingness to obtain
  • Experience in oncology nursing or a related field
