Your Role:
As a Lead Civil Engineering Consultant, you will leverage your extensive experience across multiple sectors, including commercial, residential, and public realm projects. Your collaborative spirit and effective communication skills will enable you to engage with clients and stakeholders, influencing project outcomes through your technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently explore and develop design solutions in collaboration with colleagues and clients.
- Prepare comprehensive design drawings, calculations, and specifications throughout all design phases.
- Respond to inquiries from clients, stakeholders, and contractors promptly.
- Participate in meetings and workshops, effectively communicating design concepts through sketches and presentations.
- Coordinate design information with team members and stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in civil engineering.
- Chartered or nearing Chartered status with ICE.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven project management abilities with a focus on prioritization.
- A collaborative mindset with a positive and approachable demeanor.
- Leadership capabilities with transparent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Proficiency in software such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, and Civil 3D.
- Experience in developing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) for urban developments.
- Expertise in site-wide volumetric earthworks analysis and drainage network design.
- Familiarity with external hard landscaping and highway works design.
