Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Sterling Design Support Services (SDS2), a unit of iQuasar LLC, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Baltimore, MD.

Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and reviewing electrical systems, including drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and similar products and services. This role will also involve project management and client relationship management.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in scope assessment and fee preparation, including attending pre-proposal meetings.
  • Prepare electrical design solutions using industry and constructability practices.
  • Incorporate a detailed understanding of governing codes and standards affecting the work.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office products, CADD, BIM/Revit, SKM Captor, and other industry software.
  • Conduct field surveys, energy audits, life cycle cost analyses, and cost estimating.
  • Execute construction phase review services, including submittal review, RFI responses, and changes.
  • Manage and mentor staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Professional Engineer Licensure and minimum 10 years experience in the design of building-related electrical infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • LEED AP or equivalent.
  • Commissioning certification or experience.

  • Adhere to design and construction budgets and schedules.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to pass a background check and obtain clearance for client and government contracts. Must be approved for working in the United States.
