At SNC Ltd, we are proud to support service members transitioning to civilian careers through our participation in the DoD SkillBridge program. This initiative offers valuable internships that provide up to six months of hands-on training, allowing participants to acquire essential skills and establish professional connections in the civilian workforce.

As a Military Transition Security Specialist, your primary role will involve overseeing various administrative security functions. This includes managing personnel security processes, coordinating visitor access, and ensuring effective badging operations. You will also be responsible for handling classified materials, maintaining document control, and administering local physical security systems. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and enforcing security protocols to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you will assist with the Security Clearance process and engage in self-assessment initiatives to enhance our security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to SNC policies and procedures for all security-related activities.
  • Ensure punctuality and readiness for scheduled work hours.
  • Initiate and manage personnel security actions, including access requests and security screenings.
  • Maintain facility security accounts and contribute to the upkeep of the security management information system.
  • Receive and control classified materials, serving as the primary document control coordinator.
  • Conduct security briefings and training for new personnel, participating in the corporate security education program.
  • Engage in self-assessment initiatives to ensure compliance with security regulations from various government agencies.
  • Act as the Program Security Representative for classified programs.
  • Generate and manage company identification badges and visitor credentials.
  • Assist in creating documentation and manuals that outline security processes and policies.
  • Support the local facility's COMSEC custodian responsibilities.
  • Manage after-hours alarm response and serve as the main security point of contact for the headquarters.
  • Contribute to corporate security initiatives and assist with special tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently serving in active duty military and eligible for the DoD SkillBridge program.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of experience in security, military, or administrative roles.
  • Higher education in a related field may substitute for up to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • General understanding of security regulations and best practices.
  • Familiarity with 32 CFR 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM).
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with access control and badge management systems.
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) regulations.
  • Experience with DISS/NISS and SIMS software.
