Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Manual Labor Tasks: Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.
  • Operate Hand and Power Tools: Operate a variety of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life.
  • Maintain a Clean Job Site: Maintain a clean job site by picking up all tools and equipment and securing the job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Perform Materials Handling and Storage: Perform materials handling and storage tasks, including loading and unloading materials and equipment.
  • Assist Crew Members: Work with and assist crew members in activities such as hoisting or holding parts and materials, handling tools and equipment, cleaning the work site, confined space watch, fire watch, and bottle watch.
  • Perform Other Related Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned, including participating in safety and environmental initiatives.
  • Ensure Personal and Crew Safety: Be responsible and accountable for your own personal safety, as well as the safety of all co-workers and any others you meet.
  • Identify and Report Hazards: Identify and report any unsafe conditions or situations to the foreman, safety personnel, or other supervisor on site.
  • Work Long Hours and Travel: Be prepared to work long hours and travel, including out-of-town and overnight travel.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; or minimum of six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training which provides the necessary construction labor skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of practices and materials involved in construction labor and be capable of demonstrating proficiency to perform the job; knowledge of operation of various types of marine equipment and devices; ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors, including the ability to speak and understand English.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, stepping, climbing, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, climbing, lifting, and carrying.
Working Conditions

Work will be performed in a variety of settings, including construction sites, warehouses, and other industrial locations. The employee must be able to adapt to temperature changes, outdoor conditions, and prolonged exposure to dusty, wet, or humid conditions, loud noises, and vibration.
