The successful candidate will design thermal islands and various blade paths to meet customer contractual requirements.
About the Job:
We are looking for an individual with prior energy experience, preferably in steam and/or gas turbine thermal and blading design. The ideal candidate should have technical capability to understand the design of our products, how features impact design for manufacturability, material selection, and product cost. Experience with Teamcenter, SAP, CAD tools is desired.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thermodynamic design and calculations for proposals and development projects
- Analyze turbine operating behavior under various load and failure mode conditions
- Create all thermodynamic documents to support proposals and COE projects
- Design steam turbine blade paths that meet performance and cost targets
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Prior energy experience preferred
- Technical capability to understand product design and manufacturing process
