As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and driving business growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the attending physician for residents in skilled nursing facilities, providing comprehensive primary care services and collaborating with nurse practitioners and physician assistants to manage day-to-day resident care.
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic illnesses, including bacterial and viral infections, hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes.
- Document patient care in Theoria's proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system, ChartEasyTM, and other facility EHR systems.
- Participate in Theoria's Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM, and other medical quality initiatives and programs.
- Supervise collaborating nurse practitioners and physician assistants, utilizing electronic/online medical tools, such as EHR systems and state/county medical systems.
- Board certification in a primary care specialty (e.g., family medicine, internal medicine, or geriatrics).
- Current medical licensure and DEA registration.
- Experience in primary care, preferably in a post-acute care setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in electronic health records and other medical software.
