Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Business Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex business litigation matters, providing legal services to a diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in all stages of business litigation, from initiation to resolution, including trials, motions, discovery, and settlement.
  • Conduct thorough and detailed legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Draft, review, and revise a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements.
  • Advise clients on their legal rights, obligations, and potential liabilities, providing clear, concise, and practical legal advice.
  • Collaborate with a team of legal professionals, including partners, associates, paralegals, and legal assistants, to ensure the effective and efficient handling of cases.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in a manner that is in their best interest.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in business litigation law and regulations, ensuring that our legal services are always compliant and current.
Requirements
  • A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business litigation, with a proven track record of success in trials, motions, discovery, and settlement.
  • Admission to the state bar where practicing.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain positive client relationships and work effectively with a team.
  • A high level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • The ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively in the face of legal challenges.
