Job Summary

The Security Officer 2 provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, medical staff, and employees at Baylor Scott White Health. This role involves patrolling assigned areas, detecting potential safety hazards, and promoting good public and staff relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Investigate all thefts, accidents, and offenses of a criminal nature.
  • Respond to public service calls, including criminal offenses, civil process, and customer service requests.
  • Assist Police Officers as required to maintain order and assist with arrests.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and maintain secure facilities.
  • Produce complete and accurate reports, including criminal offenses and safety hazards.
  • Handle sensitive investigations and information in a professional manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Commissioned Security Officer (LSO) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License within 90 days of hire.
