DescriptionAt Platinum Dermatology Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatology team.
Responsibilities- Escort patients to and from exam rooms, assist with preparation for exams, and ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Enter medical histories and prescriptions into our electronic medical record system.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures, and perform extractions, injections, and other patient-related tasks.
- Collect and process lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Educate patients and respond to their questions in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Document all medical instructions given to patients and maintain accurate records.
- Organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies.
- Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office, with prior dermatology experience preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of medical dermatology terms, CPT, and ICD-10 coding.
- Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with patients and colleagues.
This position is based in a well-lit medical office environment, with occasional evening and weekend work required.
