Job Summary: As a Flight Nurse with Air Methods Corporation, you will be responsible for providing high-quality critical care to patients in need of urgent medical attention. This role requires a strong foundation in assessment, triage, and treatment, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Assess and triage patients in a variety of settings, utilizing standards and guidelines established by Air Methods Community Base Services (CBS) Medical Director(s)
  • Provide critical care to patients, including stabilization, treatment, and transfer to a hospital or other medical facility
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care and transport
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical protocols and procedures, and participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve skills
  • Work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and efficiently with colleagues and other stakeholders

Requirements:




  • Current RN licensure in the state where services are provided
  • 2+ years of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in a flight or aeromedical environment
  • Strong foundation in assessment, triage, and treatment, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
