We are currently seeking a Satellite Assembly Integration and Test (AI&T) Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the oversight of contractor integration and testing activities, ensuring technical issues are identified and resolved efficiently.

• Influence contractor efforts to guarantee successful satellite delivery for operational deployment.

• Provide expert guidance to government program management on integration across various interfaces, collaborating with multiple mission partners.

• Employ advanced principles and concepts for classified systems, effectively communicating complex outcomes to management and executive teams.

• Offer System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the customer, working within small, agile teams tailored for project success.

• Develop and implement strategies for rapid deployment of classified space capabilities, addressing emerging needs in the space domain.

• Conduct thorough analysis and provide recommendations for optimizing mission-critical challenges.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure program requirements are met, producing and managing necessary documentation for seamless transitions.

• Assist in acquisition planning and the development of technical requirements.

• Evaluate the technical adequacy, cost, quality, and timely delivery of program outputs.

• Draft and review comprehensive program reports and briefings.

• Facilitate the development of monthly status reports detailing project updates, challenges, and opportunities.

• Translate complex results into clear, actionable recommendations.

• Provide strategic advice and technical expertise to project teams.

• Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience in DoD/IC or relevant industry, focusing on satellite systems.
  • An engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Relevant MS/ME degree.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the space operational environment and mission user requirements.
  • Experience in spacecraft system engineering, development, manufacturing, integration, and testing.
  • Proficient in developing satellite test and requirements verification plans.
  • Familiarity with satellite structural, mechanical, thermal, dynamics, propulsion, and mass properties.
  • Experience in analyzing and developing contract data requirements and deliverables.
  • Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in SAP and/or SCI environments, with one year within the last five years.
  • Willingness to maintain a TS/SCI clearance and submit to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph.
  • This position requires full-time on-site commitment and may involve travel within the continental United States.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in DoD/IC or industry focusing on satellite systems.
  • Proven leadership in satellite assembly, integration, and testing for large-scale space systems.
  • Prior experience as Chief Engineer for significant national security space programs.
  • Experience with rapid build and qualification testing at both system and component levels.
  • Familiarity with integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities.
  • Experience as a SETA in a government program office.
  • Knowledge of ACAT I/II level acquisition programs.
