Job Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Care
Job Summary:
Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse - Critical Care to join our team at North Fulton Hospital.
About the Role:
The Registered Nurse - Critical Care will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, using evidence-based practice and analytical thinking.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care, adapting service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity.
- Partner with patients and significant others to set and achieve patient goals, using effective communication methods.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards, promoting a respectful and inclusive clinical environment.
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care, promoting a fiscally responsible and collaborative team environment.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care.
- Complete ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
- Participate in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes.
Requirements:
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Reg Nurse (Single State) and RN - Multi-state Compact licenses.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Less than 1 year completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours and direct patient care experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English language, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care, and holds basic computer skills.
