About the Role

As a Youth Program Career Specialist with the Youth Action Project, you will play a vital role in empowering youth to discover their passion, acquire marketable career skills, and obtain meaningful and gainful employment. This position requires a passionate individual who is dedicated to achieving positive participant outcomes through high-quality service and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate relationships with local employers to provide paid work experience opportunities for participants.
  • Develop and implement individualized service strategies that lead to desired outcomes and remove barriers for each participant.
  • Provide goal-oriented guidance and practical strategies toward realizing goals, track participant activities and goal attainments quarterly, and follow-up years after program exit.
  • Maintain communication with youth and work experience sites to encourage active participation, monitor performance, and address challenges.
  • Pursue continued professional development and remain abreast of advancements in the field.
  • Attend all funder-required meetings/training and complete additional program support duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in social services, social work, sociology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Case Management or a related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Google Suites, and other cloud-based technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrating solid in-person and virtual customer service.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while exercising sound judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
