Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, and other tasks as needed to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Verify customers' identification and confirm that they meet the legal drinking age, ensuring that minors and intoxicated individuals are not served.
  • Act as a cashier for servers when necessary, processing transactions and providing accurate change to customers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, disposing of waste, clearing and cleaning glassware, and wiping down bar and preparation areas.
  • Assist servers, other bartenders, and barbacks as needed, providing support and ensuring that the bar area is running smoothly.
  • Participate in the deep cleaning of the outlet, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions, accurately counting and providing change to customers as required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three years of high-volume bar experience required.
  • Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required.
  • California RBS Certification required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of energy and productivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions

The Bartender will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to loud noises, bright lights, and strong odors. The ability to work in extreme temperatures, such as freezers and kitchens, is also required.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours in length.
  • Ability to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Ability to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds.
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. One to three years of high-volume bar experience is also required.

Licenses and Certifications
  • Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required.
  • California RBS Certification required.
