Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Timing Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Apple. As a key member of our PHY design effort, you will collaborate with architecture, CAD, and logic design teams to deliver outstanding PHY designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate block-level static timing constraints
  • Closely work with RTL and PD teams to close timing on critical blocks
  • Develop and validate low-power clock network guidelines
  • Perform timing optimization and implement designs for functionality
  • Generate and implement ECOs to fix timing issues
  • Run timing verification flow at chip/block level and provide guidelines to fix violations
  • Participate in establishing CAD and physical design methodologies for accurate by construction designs
  • Assist in flow development for chip integration
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in physical design on high PHY and/or SOC designs
  • Deep knowledge of industry standards and practices in timing closures, physical design, and synthesis
  • Experience in developing and implementing STA constraints
  • Deep understanding of all aspects of timing flow, physical construction, integration, and physical verification
  • Confirmed knowledge of basic SoC architecture and HDL languages like Verilog
  • Shown experience in industry-standard timing, physical design, and synthesis tools
  • Deep understanding of scripting languages such as Perl/Tcl
