We are seeking a skilled Medical Wound Specialist to join our team at Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement wound care plans specific for each patient in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

  • Promote skin preservation strategies to prevent further damage and ensure effective wound healing.

  • Organize multidisciplinary wound rounds on a weekly basis for high-risk patients and those with current pressure ulcers or significant wounds.

  • Provide hands-on wound care for difficult and non-healing wounds, utilizing expertise to optimize patient outcomes.

  • Serve as a resource to hospital staff on all issues related to wound and skin care, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a related field is required, with a valid State RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

  • ADN (Associate's degree in Nursing) is the minimum educational requirement.

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
