We are seeking a skilled Medical Wound Specialist to join our team at Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement wound care plans specific for each patient in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
Promote skin preservation strategies to prevent further damage and ensure effective wound healing.
Organize multidisciplinary wound rounds on a weekly basis for high-risk patients and those with current pressure ulcers or significant wounds.
Provide hands-on wound care for difficult and non-healing wounds, utilizing expertise to optimize patient outcomes.
Serve as a resource to hospital staff on all issues related to wound and skin care, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices.
Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of experience in a related field is required, with a valid State RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
ADN (Associate's degree in Nursing) is the minimum educational requirement.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
