Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Lexington Medical Center. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals to perform diagnostic and therapeutic examinations.
  • Organize daily workloads and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Order radiopharmaceuticals and kits as needed, and calculate correct dosages for administration.
  • Receives patients, explains procedures, and assesses patients to record pertinent information.
  • Reviews and abstracts data from patient charts, and sets up imaging systems for studies according to current protocols.
  • Evaluates scans for acceptable quality prior to submission for interpretation.
  • Schedules patients for Nuclear Medicine exams as necessary, and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Operates all imaging systems and related devices, and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum years of experience: None.
  • Required certifications/licensure: Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology or eligibility for certification and a South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association license.
