Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Trades Specialist to join our team at General Motors. As a Mechanical Trades Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery.
- Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems.
- Operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts and cranes.
- Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.
- Determine quality of finished products by verifying dimensions, alignment, and clearances.
Requirements:
- U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate in Mechanical trade or six (6) years of documented experience in a Mechanical trade.
- Ability to work flexible shift hours and day, afternoon, or night shifts as well as overtime hours daily, weekend, and holidays.
- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
